The long veil. The grand entrance. The walk you'll remember forever.
There's a reason cathedral and chapel veils have anchored bridal photography for a hundred years: nothing else frames a bride the way a long trailing veil does. It softens the silhouette, catches every shaft of light coming through a stained-glass window, and trails behind you in a way that turns every wide shot into the photograph you'll hang on your wall.
We've gathered eight of our most-requested long veils into one place — from the dramatic Royal Lace Cathedral to the quietly romantic Vintage Eyelash Lace Mantilla — so you can find the one that matches your dress, your venue, and the way you want to be remembered.
Choose your length
| Length | Cm / Inches | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Chapel | 135–230 cm / 53–90" | Floor-length and lightly trained gowns. The everyday-elegant choice — drama without overwhelming the dress. |
| Cathedral | 250–300 cm / 98–118" | Ball gowns and full-train silhouettes. Long aisles, high ceilings, wide-shot photography gold. |
The eight styles
Royal Lace Cathedral — $129 Our flagship. A 3-metre × 2-metre trailing veil edged all the way around with intricate vintage lace appliqué. Built for grand ceremonies, traditional churches, and brides who want the veil to be the moment of the day. Photographs against tall ceilings and long aisles like nothing else in the collection.
Floral Lace Cathedral — $69 Two-tier cathedral length scattered with delicate water-soluble lace blooms across the entire fabric. Fairy-tale, ethereal, soft as breath. Best for garden ceremonies, golden-hour outdoor weddings, and gowns with minimal embellishment that won't compete with the lace.
Double-Edge Cathedral — $59 A two-tier 3-metre veil with fine ribbon edging running along every line. Modern, structured, photographs beautifully against satin and crepe gowns. The two-tier construction means a shorter blusher layer that can cover your face during the processional and lift back for the kiss.
European Lace Chapel — $75 A 230 × 160 cm chapel veil trimmed with corded European lace woven on traditional looms. The most-requested style for church and cathedral ceremonies — traditional, timeless, pairs with virtually any white or ivory gown without overwhelming the dress.
Vintage Eyelash Lace Mantilla — $75 A chapel-length veil with soft eyelash lace fringe along the edge, anchored with a delicate hairpin instead of a comb. Vintage, quietly dramatic, mantilla-inspired. For brides drawn to old-Hollywood, French-countryside, or boho-romantic aesthetics. The hairpin attachment sits flatter against the head than a comb.
Eyelash Lace Cathedral — $59 A single-tier chapel veil with a softer eyelash lace edge, secured with a standard metal comb. Same romantic feel as the Mantilla but easier to wear all day — the comb grips more firmly through a full ceremony and reception.
Pearl-Scattered Cathedral — $39 A 230 cm soft-tulle veil hand-finished with pearls scattered the full length. Three color options — ivory, pure white, and warm cream — to match every gown undertone. Our most accessible style and the best entry point if this is your first veil.
Gold Sequin Chapel — $45 A 135–175 cm chapel-length veil with subtle gold sequin shimmer along the edge. Catches candlelight, camera flash, and golden-hour sun beautifully. For brides who want a quiet glow rather than full sparkle — the sequin is fine enough to read as a glow in photographs, not as costume.

Care Instructions:
A wedding veil is delicate by design — the same soft tulle and hand-finished lace that make it beautiful also make it worth a little care. Follow this guide and your veil will look flawless on the day, and stay keepsake-perfect for years after.
What never to do
- Never iron tulle directly. Without a pressing cloth, tulle scorches or melts in seconds.
- Never machine wash or tumble dry. The comb will snag and tear the fabric, and the heat will warp the tulle permanently.
- Never use fabric softener, starch, or spray-on wrinkle release. They leave residue that yellows the fabric over time.
- Never store the veil folded long-term. Permanent creases set within a few months of folded storage.
- Never pull or tug a stuck veil. If it catches on jewellery or a zipper, stop and gently free it thread by thread.
Spot cleaning
For small marks, dab gently with a clean white cloth dampened with cool water — blot, never rub. For makeup at the hairline, use a tiny amount of mild soap on a damp cloth and blot lightly. For anything heavier — wine, lipstick, or marks on a trailing hem — do not attempt it yourself. Take the veil to a professional wedding-gown cleaner, who can treat delicate tulle without damaging it.
FAQ:
How do I match the veil length to my dress? For floor-length gowns with no train, a chapel length (135–230 cm) sits just past the hem and frames the silhouette without competing. For gowns with a cathedral train, match length-for-length with our 300 cm cathedrals.
Will the veil stay in my hair all day? Yes. Every veil ships with a sturdy metal comb (hairpin on the Vintage Eyelash Lace Mantilla) pre-sewn at the gather point. For smooth or layered hair, your stylist can add two crossed bobby pins for extra hold — a standard trick used at every bridal salon.
Will it arrive wrinkled? It will arrive folded. Twenty minutes hanging in a steamy bathroom, or a quick pass with a garment steamer on low, fully restores the volume. Unbox at least a week before your wedding.
What's the difference between pure white, ivory, and cream? Pure white is cool-toned and bright. Ivory is warm with a soft cream undertone. Cream is warmer still. Roughly 80% of modern wedding gowns are technically ivory even when the label says "white." When in doubt, choose ivory. Free swatches available before ordering.
Which cathedral veil works best for outdoor weddings? The Double-Edge Cathedral is the most wind-friendly because its ribbon edging gives the veil structure. Avoid the Floral Lace Cathedral on sand or grass — the lace appliqué will catch debris.
Can I wear a cathedral veil with a low bun? Absolutely. The comb anchors at the back of a half-up or bun. For hair worn fully down, your stylist can secure it at the crown with extra bobby pins.
Can you make a custom length? Yes — message us before ordering. We can extend or shorten any of these veils and adjust the width. Custom orders add 5–7 days to production time.
